Leaching optimization of manganese ore from North Central Timor using H2O2 as a reducing agent

Optimization of manganese ore leaching process from North Central Timor, Indonesia has been investigated. The final product the was MnSO4. Variables that were optimized during volume H2O2, reaction temperature, and time. products characterized by FTIR, powder-XRD, XRF, AAS. Experimental data shows optimum conditions for 50 mL H2SO4 4 M, 25 H2O2 2 in which done at room temperature two hours. This condition resulting 38.2% Mn extraction with 96.88% purity. Based on a mixture crystalline MnSO4.4H2O, MnSO4.5H2O [NH4]8[Mn8(SO4)12].
